On Friday, March 21, 2025 Cleveland Police Department Dispatchers dropped a call to Cleveland Fire Department ( First Responders ) and Liberty County EMS to County Road 3802 in Cleveland ( just south of the City limits ) Report of a Female with a gun shot wound.
And to "STAGE FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT "
The Liberty County Sheriffs Office received two calls, on this incident.
The first one the female caller stated a man had informed her that her granddaughter had taken her own life.
The second call came in moments later from another female who stated she had come to clean the home, and she made contact with a man on scene and he advised her that a female was inside deceased
LCSO-Deputies arrived on scene and found a male inside The Deputies attempted to make contact with him and get him to come outside. He refused to come out of the residence. Deputies could see him inside, and seen he was holding a pistol. While the deputies were talking to him, the male turned the pistol and shot himself .
Deputies then entered the home and found a deceased woman on the couch in the living room.
LC EMS immediately began life-saving efforts on the male suspect, who was transported to Kingwood Hospital and was later pronounced dead at the hospital, Despite EMS and First responders efforts.
The preliminary findings and witness statements, investigators believe the case is an apparent murder-suicide.
The investigation is ongoing.
The male was a resident of Harris County, and the female was from Polk County, Texas. Names have not been released at this time.
The female was transported to Jefferson County Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy, and the male was taken to the Montgomery County Medical Examiner’s Office.
