On Thur. 10/14/2021, Polk County Sheriff's Office , night shift Patrol Deputies received information in reference to a residence in Crystal Lakes Subdivision on Lincoln Drive and the occupants being in possession of a large amount of methamphetamine. Narcotics Detectives were notified and an investigation began. During this investigation probable cause was established for a search warrant for the residence off of Lincoln Drive. Detectives and Deputies executed the search warrant that was signed by Justice of the Peace Pct 4 Jamie Richardson. Preston Scott Brown, Jessica Poletine, Kari Lafray, and James Matthews were found inside the residence.
Deputies located a large amount of money and methamphetamine as well as the tools used in the distribution of illegal narcotics.
Brown and Poletine were charged with manufacture and/or delivery of a controlled substance in penalty group one, namely methamphetamine, a felony of the first degree.
Lafray and Matthews were charged with possession of a controlled substance in penalty group one, namely methamphetamine, a state jail felony.
