1- DEAD, 1-HOSPITALIZED SHOOTING in New Caney

At about 10:30 p.m. Thursday night Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported shooting in the 25500 block of Tree Monkey between FM 1485 and Gene Campbell. The female caller reported her husband had shot her and then turned the gun on himself. Units arrived to find the female still conscious, however, her husband was deceased. Montgomery County Hospital District transported the 51-year-old female to Kingwood Hospital with a shotgun wound to the chest. She is now listed in stable condition with no major organs hit. Montgomery County Precinct 4 Justice of the Peace Jason Dunn ordered Eickenhorst Funeral Directors to transport the deceased male to the Montgomery County Forensic Center for autopsy.
