San Jacinto County Sheriff Capers released the following-
On Friday, October 02, 2020 during the early morning hours, San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Office Deputies, responded to three different liquor store business alarms, all within a short amount of time of each other.
The 1st business deputies responded to was Andy’s Liquor Store located at 1801 US Hwy 59N, at approximately 0142 hour, in San Jacinto County.
When the deputy arrived, he observed two broken windows, but no signs of entry.
At approximately 0202 hours the 2nd business alarm was dispatched for the Damn Liquor Store located at 1011 FM 3278, San Jacinto County.
The deputy that arrived to that scene found a similar scene, as the deputy did at Andy’s Liquor store. The owner of the store was notified, and shortly arrived.
The store owner was able to locate video of a silver minivan with a dent in the passenger side and four male subjects attempting to gain entry into the building.
At approximately 0242 hours, the 3rd alarm was dispatched for Clark's Country Liquor, located at 13050 FM 2025, San Jacinto County, Cleveland, TX 77328. When the Deputy arrived on scene, he observed the front door glass had been broken, allowing entry to be made into the building.
The deputies were in the area attempting to locate the suspect vehicle, when the deputy observed a silver minivan traveling toward Cleveland. The deputy initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle for a traffic violation.
The van came to a stop in the Loves parking lot located at 107 FM 2025, Cleveland, TX 77328. The deputy observed the damages on the van to be consistent, with the damages described from the video surveillance received from the owner of the Dam Liquor store.
There were 4- suspects arrested, all from the Houston area. Branth Fagundo, Alfredo Naearrete, Jefferson Rivera, and a juvenile whose name will not be released.
77- bottles of alcohol were recovered and later returned to Clark's Country Liquor. Branth, Alfredo, and Jefferson were all placed into custody and transported to the San Jacinto County Jail, located in Coldspring, TX.
All subjects were charged with one criminal episode of Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity making the burglary charges a Felony 3. As the State of Texas is currently considered a disaster area, this charge can be enhanced to a Felony 2 at trial.
The juvenile was transported to Juvenile Detention located in Hardin County, TX. Evidence also suggests these suspects may be involved in other Liquor Store burglaries in Walker County, TX. Law enforcement agencies in Walker County are continuing an investigation on those offenses.
