A Harris County Motorcycle Officer struck by a vehicle on 59 feeder south of Roman Forest Dr.

At 1:30 pm on Monday 10/7/19 a Harris County Precinct 1 Deputy Constable and another officer were working an escort of some large vessels from Willis to LaPorte. They were southbound on the US 59 feeder just south of Roman Forest Drive. The officer was at the bottom of the exit ramp flagging motorists to stop when the driver of a Hyundai exited the freeway and slammed into the back of the motorcycle. The officer was transported to Kingwood Hospital in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries. The motorist was not injured.
