At approximately 11:35 am on Monday 5/11/20 the Livingston Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to Livingston Burger King (1525 West Church St.) for a fire that started in the kitchen of the fast food restaurant. According to firemen at the scene, the fire originated in the kitchen ventilation system. A fire extinguisher system was activated for the chimney, but the fire had already spread to the area between the roof and the ceiling. There were no injuries reported in this incident.
It is not yet known if the owner will want to rebuild a second time after a fire damaged the establishment just over two years ago in April of 2018.
