Cleveland Police Department has charged a 27-year-old Cleveland man, Matthew Ryan Webb, for the murder of Walter Jamal Harrison, 35, also of Cleveland. Harrison was shot to death Saturday morning, around 6 a.m., in the front yard of a home on the 600 block of Field Ave. According to Capt. Scott Felts, spokesperson for the police department, Webb and Harrison had both attended a birthday party at the home.

Just after 6 a.m. on Sat. 5/16/20 Cleveland Police responded to the 600 block of Field which is just blocks from the Cleveland Police Station for a reported shooting. They arrived to find a man in his 30’s shot. EMS was dispatched and immediately started CPR. He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased. A male who police say is a person of interest was taken into custody. Several weapons were found at the scene. According to the police, there was a large party Saturday night. The homeowner at some point told everyone to disperse. Several showed back up and started arguing and shots rang out.
