Cleveland Traffic Stop, 21.6 grams of meth. recovered, A male is facing a 2nd Degree felony charge

Around 2 a.m. on Thursday, Sgt. J. Mendoza with The City of Cleveland Police Department was patrolling the100 block of Jones Street when he saw a red 2006 Scion XB commit a traffic violation and initiated a traffic stop.

The driver, 42-year-old Michael Clinton Colbert, of Cleveland didn’t have a valid driver’s license or insurance. Sgt. Mendoza detained Colbert and called a wrecker to tow the vehicle. When Mendoza began to inventory the vehicle and discovered a plastic bag containing 21.6 grams of methamphetamine beneath the driver’s seat.

Michael Colbert is charged with second-degree felony Possession of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 1/1-B, more than 4 grams but less than 200 grams. He was transported and booked into the Liberty County Jail. Judge Ralph Fuller set Colbert’s bond at $30,000.
