Coldspring, SJCSO closes drug house one arrest made

On Friday February 7, 2020 Deputies with the San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Office received a tip of Narcotics being sold in the 200 block of Brumley Road, located in Coldspring, Texas. Deputies made contact with a Paul Anthony Yates, 42, DOB 6-16-77, of Coldspring, and spoke with him about tips received relating to the selling of narcotics. Paul Yates then admitted to having narcotics in his dwelling. Deputies gained consent to enter and search the dwelling where numerous types of illegal narcotics were being hidden. Upon completion of the search, methamphetamines, marijuana, and illegal firearms were found inside the dwelling. Yates was place into custody and transported to the San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Office for booking with no further incidents. Items found are as follows: Approximatley115grams of methamphetamines with multiple baggies for distribution and a scale for weighing Approximately 2 pounds of marijuana 1 illegal manufacture firearm with an undocumented silencer The following charges will be filed: Manufacture and Deliver of a Controlled Substance PG1>4G=<200G Possession of Marijuana >4OZ=<5LBS Possession of a Prohibited Weapon Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
