On Thursday 4/23/20 at approximately 4:38am a Liberty County Sheriff’s Office Deputy arrived at a residence on CR-2050 to assist another LCSO deputy on a disturbance call. When the deputies entered the residence they observed the defendant laying down on the floor. He was identified as Christopher Allen Lott, W/M, DOB: 02/09/1996.
The defendant got up, opened a window and attempted to crawl out the window to get away from the deputies. He was stopped and a struggle began. Lott then attempted to flee out the door of the residence and once again he was stopped.
The defendant was placed on the ground and the deputies attempted to restrain him. The struggle continued and Lott was able to take possession of the handcuffs. Less than lethal force was used to gain compliance.
The defendant managed to get back on his feet. He charged the deputy. A taser was deployed and the defendant pulled the barbs out and attacked the deputy. Lott was taken to the ground and he was handcuffed. EMS was notified and when they arrived on the scene the defendant was medically cleared. Christopher Allen Lott was arrested and transported to the Liberty County Jail without further incident. He was released to the book in staff. He was charged with: (1) Resisting Arrest, Search or Transfer – Class A Misdemeanor and, (2) Assault on a Peace Officer – Second degree Felony. (Information is taken from the deputy’s report.
The defendant is presumed to be innocent until proven guilty.)
