At approximately 10:00 pm on 11/14/2020 A DPS trooper attempted to stop a motorist after he passed him at a high rate of speed. The trooper attempted to stop the driver at Kingwood Dr.. Before the trooper activated his emergency lights the driver pulled to the shoulder, when the trooper turned on his emergency lights the driver sped up to close to 100 mph. The pursuit begin and continued to East River then ended when the driver turned into his home on CR-3709 and Maple. The driver then tried to run into the house and attempted to slam the door on deputies. As he tried to grab something behind the door he was tased. The driver said he fled because he had a traffic ticket in Harris County. The male was transported to a local hospital to be treated for any injuries. The male is currently being charged with Evading in Motor Vehicle (F3) and Driving While Intoxicated.
