Captain Scott Felts- Cleveland Police Department gives Briefing on the fatal shooting at Cleveland Airport

Just before 9 am, Thursday Cleveland Police were dispatched to a hangar at the Cleveland Municipal Airport on FM 787 on the far east side of the city limits for a shooting. They arrived to find a male shot and deceased. The shooter is a former employee of a company based at the airport. He now lives in Eagle Lake. The 20-year-old former employee returned to Cleveland for unknown reasons this morning. An altercation took place between a current 29-year-old employee and a former employee. The former employee went to his vehicle and retrieved a shotgun, shooting the victim several times. There were several witnesses to the event and Cleveland Police are interviewing them now. The suspect who fled in a silver Nissan was taken into custody a short time ago by Colorado County Sheriff's Office and Eagle Lake Police. Cleveland detectives are en route there now to interview him.
