Montgomery County Detectives are still on the scene of a train vs bicycle fatal crash in Porter. At 7:24 am Montgomery County received a call from Harris County stating they had a train that was stopped at Aldine Bender and Old Humble Road that had struck a man and bicycle in the area of Ford Road and the tracks in Porter. DPS and Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene and found the bicycle and body along the tracks between Royal Purple Drive and Ford Road. Harris County Deputies are on the scene where the train stopped some 12-miles south. The train’s computer system detected a fault causing the crew to shut it down. As they went to inspect the fault they discovered blood on the locomotive. Montgomery County Justice of the Peace Jason Dunn responded to the scene for the inquest and ordered Eickenhorst Funeral Directors to transport the victim to the Montgomery County Forensic Center for autopsy. There was no identification on the victim. Currently, the victim is listed as a John Doe who is a white male between 25 and 40 years of age.
