Constable Zack Harkness, Pct. 6 Constable, Liberty County, TX- On Monday, 5/17/2021, five members of the Pct. 6 Constables office responded to assist the Liberty County Sheriffs office with 2 barricaded subjects in the area of county road 5220. The subjects had alleged to have been driving a stolen vehicle and evaded law-enforcement in the Harris County area. The subjects then, car jacked and kidnapped the driver of another vehicle that drove them to the residence In liberty county. The subjects released the driver and barricaded themself inside the residence. After numerous attempts to call out the subjects they refused to exit. Gas was deployed and shortly after both subjects came out without incident.
Liberty County Sheriff's Office-
On Monday 05-17-2021 members of the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit, Criminal Investigation Division, Patrol Unit and members of the Liberty County Special Response Team were called to assist members of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office in apprehending two subjects. The suspects were involved in multiple felony offenses that occurred in Harris County and they were barricaded in a residence located on CR-5220 in Liberty County. After a team effort by law enforcement the subjects surrendered. They were identified as Anabel Perez-Becerra, H/F, DOB: 01-30-1991 and Exequil Sosa, H/M, DOB: 12-05-1999. They both were taken in to custody and transported to the Liberty County Jail.
A search warrant for the residence was requested and it was signed by Judge Mark Morefield of the 75th District Court in Liberty County. A search of the residence was made. Suspected methamphetamine, two handguns, drug paraphernalia for packaging and weighing narcotics along with both financial and identifying documents belonging to several individuals were found. Records showed that Perez-Becerra was a convicted felon and was not allowed to possess a firearm. Perez-Becerra was charged with (1) Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance – a First Degree Felony, and (2) Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon – a Third Degree Felony. Sosa was charged with Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance – a First Degree Felony.
