On Monday 4/20/2020, at approximately 1923 hours, deputies with the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office responded to a complaint in reference to a violation of an Executive Order. The LCSO had received complaints from similar businesses and citizens about a game room that was open.
The deputies went to the game room located at 26509 Highway 321, Cleveland, Texas and found that the business was in fact in violation of the Executive Order. An investigation was completed and it was determined that Christopher Shane Knight, W/M, DOB: 07/18/1980 and Charles William Cook, IV, W/M, DOB: 08/21/1977 were in charge of operating the facility.
The deputies requested that the facility close down and all the customers were asked to leave. The defendants were placed in custody for the offense of Violation of an Emergency Protective Order. If found guilty of the charge the fine may be up to $1000 and/or jail time up to 180 days in jail. The defendants were taken to the Liberty County Jail without incident.
