LCSO-MULTIPLE STOLEN VEHICLES RECOVERED

On March 30, 2022, at approximately 2246 hours a Liberty County Sheriff’s Office deputy assisted a Montgomery County, Precinct 4, Deputy Constable at a residence on 87 CR-3893 E. Cleveland, Texas. Acting on a citizen tip the law enforcement officers arrived at the location and observed three (3) male subjects in the distance behind a closed gate. The subjects realized that the deputies were law enforcement officers, and they ran away. The deputies were able to apprehend one of the subjects and identify him.

There were multiple stolen vehicles and other stolen property found. Items recovered included: 1. 2014 Wildwood Travel Trailer – Reported stolen by Houston Police Department 2. CAT Mini-Excavator, Model 305E2 – Reported stolen by Liberty Sheriff’s Office 3. 1968 Chevrolet Camaro – Stolen out of San Jacinto County

An investigation is ongoing to determine who committed the thefts.

On April 4, 2022, at approximately 1920 hours Liberty County Sheriff’s Office deputy was on routine patrol in the area of the 3300 block of Road 5210 when he observed multiple high-value vehicles on what appeared to be an abandoned lot. For officer safety reasons a backup deputy was requested. The deputy observed a male subject enter the property. He was identified and gave consent to search the property including the vehicles in question. The subject advised the deputy that his boss sent the vehicles to him for repair. A search was done when the backup deputy arrived.

Stolen vehicles that were recovered were: 1. 2020 Dodge Challenger – Reported stolen by Harris County Precinct 5 2. 2013 Dodge Durango – Reported stolen by Houston Police Department 3. 2013 Dodge Challenger – Reported stolen by Houston Police Department

An investigation is ongoing to determine who committed the thefts.

All the stolen vehicles were seized and towed to a certified wrecker facility.
