On Monday 3/2/20 Just after 1 pm Liberty County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a male who said he had been shot eight times at his home on County Road 3557 near Plum Grove.
They learned the shooter left in a 2000 model Chevrolet sedan, possibly a Cavalier or Malibu. Liberty County EMS, Plum Grove Fire, and Liberty County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the scene.
Unable to gain entry through a door a deputy pulled his SUV to a window and was able to make entry. Liberty County EMS pronounced the victim deceased. An attempt to locate the vehicle was issued.
A little after 3 pm Montgomery County responded to Buster Browns Propane Service on FM 1485 at Loop 494 in New Caney. There the suspect was taken into custody as he sat in his vehicle.
Liberty County responded to the location as did Texas Rangers.
The suspect was turned over to the Rangers. Liberty County Homicide Detectives remain on the scene on C.R. 3557.
