Liberty County Sheriff's Office seeks public's help in identifying burglary suspect.

A burglary suspect has hit the same business location on back-to-back nights of November 25th and 26th of 2019. Liberty County Sheriff’s lead Investigator Ann Marie Mitchell has requested the public’s help in identifying a security camera photo of the burglary suspect. On the night of November 25th one or more suspects cut the lock and chain off a gate located on FM 770 and stole over $15,000 in company equipment off a service truck parked on the property. In this theft a black and yellow Champion generator with serial number 18OCT1000210 was stolen along with band saws and a large amount of assorted tools. On the following night of November 26th another security lock and chain were cut off the same gate and this time a burglary of a building on the property resulted in eight(8) rim-mounted tires being stolen. On this occasion a suspect was clearly photographed by a security camera. Serial numbers of all stolen equipment have been entered into NCIC as stolen property for future identification. Investigator Mitchell is requesting that if anyone has information on this burglary and theft case to contact the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office at (936) 336-4500 or the Multi-County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-392-STOP (7867). Crime Stoppers has established a reward for anyone providing a “tip” that leads to the arrest of the wanted suspect(s) and any caller to Crime Stoppers will remain anonymous. --- Liberty County Sheriff’s Office (OFF) (936) 336-4535
