On Monday afternoon San Jacinto County Sheriff's Office, Dispatched a Fire Call to 75 W. Cedar Ave. in Coldspring, ( The Sheriff's Office )- Report of A Fire in the Attic, The dispatcher had just put the call Out to Fire Department's , Moments later she Advised All Fire Units to Switch to Another Radio System. After that I did not hear any other radio traffic due to the Switch over.
Soon after the Radio Swtch over this was posted on the San Jacinto County Sheriff's Office Facebook Page-
Phone lines for the Sheriffs office along with 911 are currently down. Will post when it's back up. ALL calls are being now being routed through Polk County and Liberty county dispatch with no interruption in service to the great citizens of San Jacinto County.

A couple of hours later Sheriff Capers released this information-
The lightning strike caused a fire at SJCSO but Sheriff Capers said the fire was quickly extinguished by firefighters.
Sheriff Capers said the quick action of firefighters restricted the fire so very little damage was caused, But Communication Lines are Down ,Easter Phone Company is on site working on the phone lines to get them up and going asap.
