Approximately 11:00 pm on Friday 9/24/2021, A head on mva was dispatched on FM-350 South at Kate Lowe rd. that claimed the life of 18 year old Cole Overstreet a student of Livingston High School. Overstreet was heading south on FM-350 driving a blue 2005 Dodge pickup when the driver of a black 2016 Dodge pickup traveling north crossed the center line and slammed into Overstreet's vehicle Head On. Overstreet's pickup came to a stop in a ditch on the southbound side. The other pickup came to stop in a ditch on the northbound side. Witnessess reported that the driver of the other pickup fled the scene. Sadly, Cole Overstreet was killed on impact. All traffic on FM-350 South was blocked during investigation and cleanup. JP Robert "Dooley" Johnson performed an inquest at the scene. .
An investigation by the Texas Highway Patrol into the accident is underway that includes evidence and witnesses of who the driver of the other pickup was.
