On November 18, 2021, at approximately 3:00 pm, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office opened an investigation in reference to a homicide, after locating a deceased subject in the front yard of an address in the 14000 block of FM 350 N, in Livingston, TX. Polk County Sheriff’s deputies and detectives, along with assistance from the Texas Rangers, arrived to the scene to begin their investigation. The deceased was quickly identified by law enforcement as Leonard Eral Chatman, 64 years of age, of Livingston, TX. Leonard Chatman’s son, Lynnie Chatman (40), is currently wanted on four unrelated felony warrants and is being sought by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office for questioning, in reference to this investigation. Lynnie Chatman’s girlfriend, Brooke Ashley Cormier (22), is also wanted on two unrelated felony warrants and is also being sought by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office for questioning, in reference to this investigation. Brooke Cormier and Lynnie Chatman are believed to be together at this time.
