MCC0 PCT4 TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO $1.8 M in CASH and DRUGS



On May 22, 2024 Deputies with the Montgomery County Pct. 4 Constables Office observed traffic violations on a vehicle traveling on the US-59 service road in New Caney, TX. Deputies conducted a traffic stop on this vehicle. During the traffic investigation, Deputies located approximately $500,000 U.S. currency in the bed on the truck. Detectives to believe the currency in question, are proceeds of drug sales. At the conclusion of the traffic stop, the driver, Angel Cabrera-Bueno and passenger Jesus Cabrera, both Mexican Nationals were arrested for Money Laundering >300k.

The investigation continued as Detectives began to shift their attention to a residence located on 2100 block of Russell Dr. in New Caney, TX. A subsequent search of that residence led to the discovery and seizure of an approximate 1.3 million in U.S. currency, 19 kilograms of cocaine and 1 kilogram of heroin.

The investigation is ongoing and additional charges may follow.
