At approximately 6:40 pm on Tuesday 12/14/2021 A Deputy with Montgomery County Sheriff's Office heard gunshots while on patrol in the The Woodlands. As he was responding multiple calls began coming in to the dispatch in reference to a shooting in an apartment parking lot at Green Tree Place Apartments in the 300 block of Valley Wood. When the deputy arrived he found a 27-year-old male in the parking lot with a gunshot wound to the upper chest. He started CPR. As other units arrived they located the shooter and detained him. According to Lt. Spencer with the MCSO, 2-males (former roommates) got into an altercation in the parking lot, first verbal then it became physical. 1-male retrieved a handgun from his vehicle and shot the other male. LT Spencer said at the time of the shooting many people were returning home from work and in the parking lot. There are multiple witnesses to interview. The male was transported to the hospital with CPR in progress in critical condition.
