by EMC FIRE DEPARTMENT- The fire is 100% contained, ZERO structures lost, no injuries, and fire units are starting to clear the scene. Evacuation order lifted and allowed to return back to homes. East Montgomery County Fire Department Posted on their FB page- Wildfire / Grass Fire off of Fostoria. 5+ acres from first arriving booster, now estimated at 200 acres, still not contained, multiple fire departments responding, evacuation orders have been issued for certain parts of that area. 2nd alarm grass response requested. Texas Forest Service requested.
Update 12:45 PM The Texas Forest Service Dozer is on location and starting a fire line. Splendora PD drone is on location providing live aerial reconnaissance. Fire units are protecting homes and structures currently and NO structures have been lost! Fire crews are still working tirelessly as this fire in not contained yet. No injuries have been reported.
