At approximately 12:55 pm on Monday March 2, 2020, a tan Chevy Pickup, driven by Loy Deason, 66, of Livingston, was north-bound on FM-350 South (3900 block next to prison) when a Honda motorcycle, driven by Joseph Deshayes, 25, of Livingston, pulled out of a private parking lot directly in front of Loy's pickup. The pickup struck the motorcycle. The impact caused the motorcycle to leave the pavement on the west side. Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Sergeant Javier Segura, and Deputy Ethan Placker with the Polk County Sheriff's Office and Troopers Kevin Burman and Ashlee White with the Texas Highway Patrol. Deshayes and his passenger, Raylene Clark, 24, also of Livingston, were both transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital with undisclosed injuries. Deason was physically okay. Traffic on 350 was not blocked during investigation and cleanup. Joseph Deshayes is likely facing citations for failure to yield right-of-way, no insurance, driving with a suspended license, and a registration violation (license plate didn't match his motorcycle). Deshayes motorcycle was recovered by LakeView Wrecker and will be stored in Livingston. Deason drove his pickup from the scene
