Police Pursuit Ends in Crash- Livingston

At approximately 10:45 am on August 23, 2020, the driver of a stolen white Chevy Aveo was south-bound on US-59 in Corrigan. The suspect, Robert T. McQueen, 30, of Louisville, Kentucky was speeding (74 in a 55). Officer Jason Porter with Corrigan Police Department attempted to initiate a traffic stop and the McQueen decided to evade. The pursuit continued south on 59 reaching speeds of up to 125 miles per hour and swerving into oncoming traffic. The pursuit cotinued into the Livingston City Limits. McQueen swerved left to enter the center median, struck a crepe myrtle tree, and rolled his vehicle (vehicle tore in half in the process). The rear half of the vehicle came to rest in the north-bound lanes of 59. McQueen continued to drive the front half (believe it or not) for approximately another 100 yards before finally stopping on the shoulder of the south-bound side. McQueen crawled out of the back of the vehicle and fled on foot. He was quickly tackled by Officer Porter and Officer Scott Paske with Livngston Police Department. Amazingly, McQueen wasn't injured. As a precautionary measure, he was transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital to be checked out. Porter was joined at the scene by Corrigan Police Chief, Darrell Gibson, Livingston Police, the Polk County Sheriff's Office, and State Troopers. Livingston Volunteer Fire Department was brought in to help clean the pavement for safety. McQueen is likely facing a list of charges. VIDEO BELOW of End - Pursuit/Crash
