Can't Seem to Stay Out of Trouble, Dustin Sanders Crashes Car Flees Police
At approximately 4 pm on September 12, 2020, Deputy Rey Davalos, with the Polk County Sheriff's Office spotted an older model tan Lexus GS430, driven by Dustin Darrell Sanders, 30, of Livingston. Sanders also spotted Deputy Davalos and immediately fled north of US-59 just north of Livingston. The pursuit was on and Sanders turned right onto Castlewood Road, Sanders entered a curve too fast on the unpaved road and left the road to the right and slammed into a tree. His vehicle ignited and quickly began to burn as Sanders exited the burning vehicle and fled into the woods. The Livingston Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to the scene and put the car fire out (which was now engulfed in flames). Other deputies and the Texas Highway Patrol were also dispatched to the scene. At time of press, Sanders remains at large. Sanders apparently opted to flee because he has multiple warrants out for his arrest. This is the third police chase that Sanders has been involved in since June.
Last month Sanders was arrested after fleeing police on a motorcycle and then crashed.
