On Wednesday 11/3/2021, just passed 9:00 am A Montgomery County Precinct 4 Deputy attempted to stop a vehicle for several traffic violations on Hwy. 59 near Creekwood Dr. When deputies activated their emergency lights the driver continued 59-northbound, into Cleveland failing to stop. The driver took FM- 2025 exit , with assistance from the Splendora Police Department and the Cleveland Police Department, the vehicle was stopped and the driver was taken into custody at 2025 and Hwy. 59
It was found that the driver, Jerson Iglesias-Ramirez, a Mexican National, was wearing an ankle monitor that was placed on his leg by the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) so that later, they locate the subject once his deportation paperwork was finalized.
PCT. 4 MC Constable Hayden stated, This individual was putting the public’s lives in danger, running from the police this is just one of the many reasons our borders need to be secured. Thank you to our Deputies and Officers from the assisting agencies for safely taking this subject into custody, minimizing the danger to the other motorists on our roadways.
