A Patton Village PD Unit traveling North on US Hwy 59 spotted two motorcycles traveling at a high rate of speed. Upon catching up to the cycles, which were not displaying license plates, the motorcycles accelerated at an extremely dangerous high rate of speed , well in access of 100 MPH, continuing North on 59. PVPD observes the cycles turn East bound on County Road 332 in Liberty County. The PVPD officer followed and discovered that one of the riders has ran his cycle into a ditch. The other cycle kept going.
Upon checking the rider of the cycle in the ditch a backpack was found under his jacket containing a large amount of marijuana. Charges were accepted for felony evading with a motor vehicle and felony possession of the marijuana.
