On Thursday March 31, 2022, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call in reference to an 18 month old being found unresponsive in a pond, near the Blanchard area, in Livingston, Texas.
Deputies arrived on scene and located a first responder providing life-saving efforts to the child. The child was taken to the Livingston CHI-Memorial Hospital and then flown to Texas Children’s Hospital, in Houston, Texas.
The child remained hospitalized over the weekend, but unfortunately passed away this morning, April 4, 2022.
This case is still under investigation.
