On Sunday, November 15th at about 1900hrs Deputies of the San Jacinto County Sheriff's Office and Montgomery County Constable's Office Precinct 4 apprehended a wanted person, Robert Cantrell Jr., on outstanding felony warrants at the Academy parking lot located at 21770 Market Place, New Caney, TX. This joint effort was the result of several days of surveillance and hard work. This operation was orchestrated by Lead Deputy Bowen who by his dedication and concern for community safety, worked many hours collecting intelligence information on the wanted man. Lieutenant Dougherty, Sergeant Montalvo, Deputies, Pellegrino, and Deweese of San Jacinto County Sheriff's Office, assisted Deputy Bowen in the pursuit and apprehension of this dangerous suspect. Deputy Constable Zack-Beaty and Sergeant Billinger of Montgomery County Constable Precinct 4 were all present to effect the arrest. Prior information revealed the subject Cantrell would be combative and resist arrest, which he did. When Cantrell was approached he was told he was under arrest and immediately began an extended fist fight with Deputies in the Academy parking lot. Two Deputies were injured, Cantrell was treated at the scene by EMS and then taken to the San Jacinto County Jail to be booked in. He was charged with an outstanding Pardon and Parole warrant for Burglary of a Habitation, Sexual Assault and Indecency with a Child warrant, and was discovered to be in possession of one ounce of marijuana secreted on his person at the jail. He was then charged with Possession of a Prohibited Substance in a Correctional Facility. A grand total of three felonies and one misdemeanor.
Concerning the Cantrell case from Sunday, November 15th, 2020 in New Caney, TX a secondary investigation was concluded and members of the San Jacinto County Sheriff's Office apprehended 3 more individuals for HINDERING APPREHENSION/PROSECUTION OF KNOWN FELON (A THIRD DEGREE FELONY) Robert Cantrell Jr Wednesday November 18, 2020. San Jacinto County Sheriff's Office Sergeants Montalvo, Cortez and Williams, Deputies Hardy, K9 unit Itai, Pellegrino, Deweese, Perez and Bowen served the arrest warrants on the following suspects: Mykala Fuchs, McKenzie Fuchs, and Kelzin Baines at a residence in Shepherd Texas. All suspects were taken into custody without incident. San Jacinto County Sheriff's Office is please to announce all 4 have been re-united at the San Jacinto County jail.
