. A Shooting that happened Tuesday night on 8/18/20 at the Shell Station on Hwy. 59 at Morgan Cemetery Rd. aka CR-379 ( Just south of Cleveland ) Leads to the arrest of
Alberto Lamas, 36, of Pasadena, for, Aggravated Assault With a Deadly Weapon.
Lamas allegedly shot the driver of another vehicle after the two were involved in a minor accident in the parking lot.
According to LCSO report preliminary information suggests that Lamas had been at the game room next door to the Shell Station. Taylor’s vehicle was pulled in front of the store.
It is still still unknown how how the vehicles made contact or whether it was an accident or done intentionally.
A Chevy silverado pickup truck driven Lamas made contact with a Ford passenger car driven by Jus Taylor, 27, of Livingston.
Lamas exited his vehicle and an argument ensued, which ended with Lamas shooting Taylor in the leg.
When authorities arrived Lamas was still at the scene..
He surrendered and was taken to the Liberty County Jail on a charge of Aggravated Assault With a Deadly Weapon.
When 1st responders arrived on scene, they advised dispatch they had a male subject on the Ground in front of the store with gunshot wounds to both legs, Life Flight was also called but later cancelled maybe due to ETA being too long.,Taylor was taken by ground ambulance to Kingwood hospital. His condition is unknown.
Both vehicles were impounded and towed to the Smith Towing storage lot in Cleveland,.
