SPD 1- in Custody after short Pursuit

Officers with the City of Splendora Police Department were out conducting area patrols on local businesses on Kennedy Drive and East River Road when one Officer observed a red truck traveling at a high rate of speed. The officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop when the driver failed to yield. The pursuit ended in Liberty County off CR 3707 and CR 3709 when the driver was unable to navigate a turn. The driver was quickly apprehended. The driver was identified as Hayden Villyard. He was charged with Felony Evading and Unlawful Carry of a Firearm.
