SPD TRAFFIC STOP- 24 lbs. of METH and 22 lbs. of COCAINE Discovered during investigation

City of Splendora Police Department - Chief Wieghat is a major supporter on the war against Drugs by training his officers the knowledge they need to do their jobs. Officer working traffic enforcement on US Highway 59 conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling 86mph in a posted 65mph zone. As the officer made contact with the driver, the officer made some observations and began an investigation. After an extensive investigation and the assistance from the Liberty County Sheriff's Office interdiction team, 24 pounds of Methamphetamine and 22 pounds of Cocaine was located and seized. The driver was arrested and charged with two counts of Manufacturing and Delivery of a Controlled Substance.
