The 39-year-old male suspect accused of fatally shooting two people at a mobile home park in Texas City is dead Thursday night after he reportedly shot himself and crashed on I-45 according to police reports.
Police report the shooting happened Thursday night at the Green Villa mobile home park off FM 3436 at FM 517. Police in Webster and other nearby towns got a description of the suspect's truck,
The truck was spotted and a Pursuit began, the pursuit ended when the suspect shot himself, according to police, then crashed on I-45 near NASA 1
All Northbound lanes of I-45 are CLOSED

LEAGUE CITY, TX (February 20, 2020): The League City Police Department is at the scene of a major accident in Webster following a pursuit which resulted in the death of a 39 year-old male homicide suspect who appeared to have died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound while fleeing from police this evening.
At 8:41 p.m. this evening, the League City Police Department was asked by Texas City Police to help in locating a possible suspect involved in a shooting in Texas City. At approximately 9:06 p.m., League City patrol officers located the suspect vehicle in Dickinson near Hughes Road and the Gulf Freeway. League City officers pursued the vehicle as it fled north on the Gulf Freeway.
The vehicle fled through League City where it struck a retaining wall in the 20000 block of the Gulf Freeway in Webster. Officers secured the scene and found the driver deceased inside the vehicle from what appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Texas City Police Department is conducting a homicide investigation in Texas City. Webster Police Department is investigating the accident scene. The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin.
