The Liberty County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit initiated an investigation into the sales and distribution of crystal meth from a residence located at 5304 FM-1409, Dayton, Liberty County, Texas. The suspect was identified as Jerad Wayne Boatman. Boatman was convicted in 2014 for the Delivery of Crystal Meth in Liberty County.
On Monday, November 1, 2021 the Liberty County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant on that property and conducted a search of the primary mobile home where a subject identified as Shawn Paul Sullivan was located. Inside the residence deputies located approximately 15.4 grams of suspected crystal meth along with multiple packaging materials and digital scales. Sullivan was arrested and charged with Man/Del CS PG1 4g < 200g (Felony 1)
Jerad Boatman was found to be residing inside a travel trailer on the property. He and his girlfriend were detained. A search of the property was conducted. Inside a portable metal building that belonged to Boatman on the property the deputies located a false wall mounted electrical outlet. Upon removing the outlet, multiple packages of suspected crystal meth along with multiple packaging materials and digital scales were found. The suspected crystal meth weighed approximately 44 grams. Deputies also located approximately 45.8 grams of Marijuana hidden inside a toolbox. After the suspected narcotics were located, Boatman admitted to the possession of crystal meth and advised that his girlfriend was not involved in the sales. Deputies arrested and charged Boatman with the Man/Del CS PG1 4g < 200g (Felony 1). Both subjects were transported to the Liberty County Jail where they were released without incident.
