As more businesses and services begin to return to operations, we have received many questions regarding the status of TxDMV offices and services and those of related agencies.
𝗧𝘅𝗗𝗠𝗩 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 We do not yet have a projected date for reopening our Regional Service Centers. We continue to provide services to the public online as well as by phone, email, and postal mail. We will make an announcement when this determination is made. 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘆 𝗧𝗮𝘅 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗿-𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 Some county tax offices are now open, while others remain closed to the public but continue to process certain transactions. Although county tax offices provide services on behalf of TxDMV, operational decisions are made independently at the county level. We are maintaining a list of county tax office closures on www.TxDMV.gov/covid-19, but you may wish to contact your county tax office directly for the current status of their offices and services. 𝗧𝗲𝘅𝗮𝘀 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗟𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 The Texas Department of Public Safety (TxDPS) is the agency that issues driver licenses.
