Marcus Clayton, 29, of Houston, was arrested for Felony Criminal Mischief at 2:30 AM Monday, December 20, 2021. The arrest was a result of great police work from the Roman Forest Police officers.
Since early Friday morning, officers have been actively looking for this windshield smasher. The defendant, allegedly, would drive around and randomly smash the front windshield and rear window of vehicles in driveways. In our area, he damaged 5 vehicles Friday morning and 2 Saturday morning. We are aware of 3 others in a neighboring jurisdiction and even more in the Kingwood area.
Early Monday morning Roman Forest officers were able to catch the defendant in our area and make a traffic stop for a traffic violation. Officers detained him on the misdemeanor until the Felony Criminal Mischief charges were filed.
Roman Forest Police Department - Chief Stephen Carlisle said, “As with this case, our officers are very diligent when it comes to crimes in our area. I hope this sends a message to criminals to stay out of Roman Forest.
