About 2:30 am multiple calls started coming into the Montgomery County 911 Center of a wrong-way driver on I-69 going north in the southbound lanes at SH 99. Multiple agencies responded. Calls continued up to Sh 242. A Precinct 4 Constable going northbound was finally able to spot the white 2012 Hyundai Sonata driving at a high rate of speed north in the southbound lanes at FM 2920. Running alongside the wrong-way driver with lights activated the driver finally stopped near Fostoria Road. When deputies attempted to get him out of the vehicle the driver still had it in gear. The driver identified as Phillip Michael Plymell, 25, of 20676 Oakhurst Meadows in Porter was arrested for DWI after failing field sobriety tests on the scene. He also refused to give a blood specimen. Since this was a no refusal night a warrant was issued to draw a sample of his blood.
